Chronology of cameras Canon
This is a north American version. In Europe it was known as the Prima Mini II, and in Japan as the Autoboy F XL. It is a delightful little camera easily pocketable, with a useful 3,5/32 mm lens which would be ideal for close scenery, such as in cities and towns, or interiors including groups of people. It also has a very useful range of shutter speeds for use with available light.
The focus achieved lamp also serves as a low battery warning, and a slow shutter speed warning. It indicates "too close" at about 30 cm which probably reflects the great depth of field available with a 32 mm lens, even at 3,5.
It is completely automatic, with a mode dial around the shutter release that provides a choice of auto, time delay, and flash forced on/off. The lens has a closure over it when not in use, which also acts as the power switch.
The Canon Camera Museum says that this camera has a close up frame and a panorama frame in the viewfinder; this example has neither of those.
